Dwarf Slayer - varnished!

Finaly this mini is essentially finished. I'm quite pleased with the overal result and I guess at this point I can call it a day and move on to another project. I may add some snow on the base and I'll also add some blood effects using this technique from the B&C Librarium.

  1. Hey, I'm new to your blog and I find myself looking at one of the favourite things - dwarfs. This guy looks great, you have done a real good job. The skin in particular looks great.

  2. Welcome to my blog Kuffeh! I hope you enjoy your stay here. Dwarfs are one of my favourite fantasy races (the other is goblins; talk about a split personality). However since I know I'll never have the time and patience to build a dwarf army I'd have to content myself with painting some of the more characterful dwarf sculpts I can find. It's quite probable some other dwarf hero will appear here in the future... In the meantime you can also check out the recipe for the metalics on this mini.

  3. Thanks! I have the same choices. I am primarily a dwarf player but I have plans for an orc and goblin army at some point.

I too agree about the dwarf sculpts. I think they are some of the more characterful minis GW has produced. I love them.

    I will, thanks!
